Chronic pain

Chronic pain is pain that lasts longer than 6 weeks. The pain persists while there is no longer a direct relationship with the original injury, or there is long-term pain without a cause. In chronic pain we speak of sensitization. Your brain then sends a wrong signal to your body for a long time, causing you to experience pain. Pain that we often do not understand.

The pain system in your body is set too sharply, resulting in:

  • There is pain while the body has long since recovered

  • Pain occurs in multiple places in the body

  • The pain varies from day to day

  • Bad sleep

  • Fatigue

  • Hypersensitivity

  • Treatment provides no or temporary relief

Common diagnoses:

  • Back pain

  • Headache

  • Whiplash

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Arthritis
