In breathing and relaxation therapy you learn more about your breathing in relation to maintaining your complaints. We investigate whether you can relax more and experience less physical or mental complaints because your breathing becomes more functional.
We use various exercises such as breathing, movement or attention exercises.
Sometimes (hyper-)focus on breathing can increase the symptoms. In the beginning we shift the emphasis more to relaxation and see if the breathing pattern becomes more natural and less disruptive.
The goal of breathing therapy is to make breathing as natural as possible and to make you feel good about yourself.

Biofeedback
At Sens beweeg je it is possible to map and practice your breathing very precisely using biofeedback equipment. We can then measure breathing, timing, heart rate etc. during various activities. It is also possible to do a stress test before and after a period of breathing therapy to experience what it does to you in an objective way.
