Pelvic problems
Pain around the pelvis mostly arises after sitting or standing for too long or because of bending down or lifting too much. The pelvis has two sacroiliac joints at the backside, to the side of the spinal column which are often the source of pain in the lower back. These joints can often be overly flexible (ie after pregnancy) which leads to pelvic instability. The sacroiliac joint can also be blocked which can lead to abnormal pelvic tilt.
We treat
Using orthopedic manual therapy we are able to adequately treat pain symptoms by stabilizing the pelvis manually or initiate motion. Physical activity, especially walking, also might reduce the symptoms.
